Hello 2014

Happy New Year..!!


Alhamdulillah 2013 had been a great year. Too many awesome memories.

-Joined few bazaars, met new wonderful people, got a chance buat a very huge wedding cake, explore banyak new designs on cakes and cookies. Alhamdulillah. I am more than grateful.


Tapi ada memories yang sangat huge happened in 2013. Beautiful memories.

-In August, my baby boboi bucuk macin was born. My very first nephew. First cucu for my parents. Walaupun now Hud Al-Fateh dah pandai jerit-jerit even though baru 4 months old, tapi kalau tak jumpa sehari, rindunyaaa ya Allah. MakUsu doakan Hud jadi anak yang soleh. A smart boy he is.

-In December, saya telah dirisik..!!! Alhamdulillah. So I'm now officially engaged to my boyfriend of 9 years. Tunang ikut Islam dah. Tunang ikut melayu belum. InsyaAllah majlis tunang bulan 5 nanti. Super excited. Dah macam-macam plan dah. Nikah pula in a year's time, InsyaAllah.

So here goes the typical new year's resolutions. Since nak kahwin lagi setahun, I think most of it memang untuk my wedding day or my preparation to be a good wife.

- Lose weight. I think this is typical but not for me. Sebelum ni tak pernah heran pun new year's resolution nak lose weight. But this year memang kena determine sangat-sangat. I love to eat....huhuhu.

- To cover my aurah properly, slowly tukar wardrobe. Not easy sebab memang kena keluar duit banyak. But slowly.

- By end of this year, I will be more serious in opening a shop. Akan plan betul-betul. Just kitchen je dulu. Tak buka café pun. I don't want to rush into things and I really don't mine bila nak start buka the kitchen. Kalau lagi 2-3 years pun I don't mind. Tapi by end of this year kena at least ada plan macam-macam dah.

- Kena belajar masak..!!!! Desserts dah macam-macam boleh buat. Tapi kari, masak lemak, rendang?? Oh nooo belum tau lagi. Jadi haruslah belajar dengan Mama nanti.

- Sugar flowers..!!! Really need to learn buat sugar flowers cantik-cantik.

- To be more organized. Rasanya ok kot. Especially my wedding, tak nak ada yang last minute.

- Last but not least, to be a better Muslim.

Oh I think I'm slowly turning into a bridezilla. And people around me pun dah cakap macam tu. Uwaaaa I'm soooo sorry (in advance). Huhuh but I love you people to death. You know who you are. Eryn, you're so lucky you jauh kat UK tu haa. 

2014 will be a great year for me, InsyaAllah. I really hope so.

That's me saying. My comfort food. Kalau stress cari sushi. Kalau tengah extra happy cari sushi.

Few days later, tetiba Radiusite tagged and announced me as one of the raya winners (20 orang).

I was like "laaa ada competition ke".

Dengan tak pakai baju kurung nya. Raya la sangat.

And my sister cakap gambar tu buruk, simple sangat. Jealous letteww.

But sangat memahami with the lighting and editing or maybe sebab model TudungPeople tu sangat cantik so dia pakai apa-apa pun nampak confident je, unlike me yang malu-malu nak pakai pink macam ni. Hee.

Yang ni pula di edit konon-konon macam tak menipu padahal still menipu sebab flawless sangat kan muka tu. Tapi konon macam natural je.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well at least edit pakai apps won't hurt my skin more. I won't apply any foundation kalau muka tengah teruk. So this is the best conclusion. Heeeee.

That picture in a frame was captured by Abdul Rahman Zulhairy, my other half.

It was back in 2010. Untuk his assignment. Everyone kena cari a model and obviously he chose me.

 

Ahh 2010, tak reti pakai make up the correct way (sekarang pun tak perfect la tapi dah ada basic). First time beli foundation, mascara, eye brow pencil. Try-try pakai sendiri. Pakai blusher semua pun tak nampak sangat dalam gambar.

 

The serious look on my face was his choice. He wanted the 'ego sombong' look. I'm no model so tak dapat nak give the best. First time tangkap gambar so professional like that kat studio we rented. With his friends tengok. Malu la saya. But it was ok. Experience la.

 

Actually banyak lagi concept he took that day. But his lecturer chose this one.

 

 

Psstt...Selalunya model pipi cengkung atau tembam baby face comel. Tapi ni dalam gambar pipi so huge. Siggghh. Again, I'm no model.

 



Change

In 2011, I stared to labuhkan tudung. Longgarkan and labuhkan baju.


Funny thing is, it’s not because of I dengar ceramah, or something happen yang membuatkan diri ni insaf. Or sebab Mama suruh. No. Not because of all that.


But sebab terbaca ada this one blog. A guy’s blog. He wrote something like this “Lelaki bukannya tergoda dengan rambut wanita. Jadi tidak kira kalau wanita itu memakai tudung ataupun tidak, tetapi kalau baju yang dipakainya ketat yang menampakkan tubuh badan lagi-lagi di bahagian dada dan juga punggung, maka itu yang lelaki akan pandang.”       


Kind of harsh but true. Kan?



So I didn’t do it because I know it was wrong. To pakai baju ketat-ketat and all. But I changed sebab terbaca blog orang. I mean, I know it was wrong all along, but just didn’t seem to care enough to change.


But of course now I fully understand that tutup aurat dengan cara yang betul sebab and untuk Allah SWT. Cuma that time terbaca blog yang tulis macam tu and it suddenly made me sedar how a man pandang a woman.


Tapi that doesn’t mean I support those yang tegur-tegur dengan cara kasar or perli at orang yang tak tutup aurat. Nak tegur memang ada caranya. Still a good ceramah or say it nicely, InsyaAllah will change a person.


And I know, I'm not that perfect yet either. But I'm slowly changing to cover fully.

Jelly habis dulu. Sangat laku. Then cookies. Followed by cupcakes. Alhamdulillah.

But someone did came to me and asked me to bake more next time. Hehe InsyaAllah dear. Will do.
